Are we alone?
It's an idle/clicker style simulation game. You're tasked with building up a lab to search for evidence of the existence of extra-terrestrial life. It's inspired by the James Webb Space Telescope and the excellent game, Stacklands.
It's meant to be a relaxing game. Don't worry too much about "winning".
INSTRUCTIONS:
Click on the buy packs (bottom-left of the screen). This will unpack cards representing objects. Clicking on these cards will allow you to place their objects in either the lab or the field. Some objects can only be placed in the lab and vice-a-versa. Objects can affect the project's income, rate of stars being analysed per day, or just the general mood of the lab (which can affect the previous stats).
NOTE: if you're stuck or just want to experience the game quickly, message me here or at @sundlegames and I will supply you with a cheat code.
Tip: try to hire staff as soon as possible.
Controls:
select: left click
cancel: right click / escape key

2: fast speed
3: turbo speed

This was really fun! It's really nice and peaceful. Plus it's not too hard on the wrist.
Thank you for all the hard work you put into this game
Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
My last game jam entry was frenetic and difficult, so I thought I'd go for something a little more relaxing this time around.
Is this broken? Can't do anything it seems.
Can you not click on anything?
i have no idea how to even play
You select a buy pack (bottom left cards). They unpack cards which represent objects that can be placed either in the lab or the field.
The game seems to be pretty interesting but it's quite lengthy and hard to understand. All the best for your JAM submission. We would be looking forward to your upcoming games ahead of time.
Thanks for the feedback. I guess I should have included some kind of introductory explanation at the beginning of the game. It's so easy to miss things like that during a game jam.
Yeah, that's true, it's quite natural to miss a few things.
