This is my 10th game jam!!  I opted for a much simpler game this time around, having been criticised for entering complex and difficult games into previous jams.

An endless runner (swimmer) game.

The game is designed to achieve a state of flow, which is thought to underpin why some games are so much fun:

"Flow in positive psychology, also known colloquially as being in the zone, is the mental state in which a person performing some activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. In essence, flow is characterized by the complete absorption in what one does, and a resulting transformation in one's sense of time. Flow is the melting together of action and consciousness; the state of finding a balance between a skill and how challenging that task is. It requires a high level of concentration. Flow is used as a coping skill for stress and anxiety when productively pursuing a form of leisure that matches one's skill set."

I tried to stick to using a bright colour harmony.  For example, the red-yellow sky together with the blue water form a colour triad.  This colour scheme is supposed to induce a dynamic and energetic vibe.  A perfect fit for an action game like an endless runner.

- Collect the orbs.  

- Avoid the obstacles and enemies.  

- You have 3 lives.  Pick up hearts to gain a life.  

- You can select a hard mode in the menu (easy mode is the default).
